AARP Recognizes Volunteer Robert Hecker
AARP Services Inc. proudly announces That Robert Hecker has been recognized for over 50 hours of volunteer work.

AARP Services Inc. announces that Robert Hecker has been honored for over 50 hours of volunteer service in the community. Robert Hecker serves with the Honor and Remember, CT Chapter as State Director and conducts monthly duties including board meetings and organizes fundraising efforts to further the mission of Honor and Remember, to perpetually recognize the sacrifices of this country’s fallen heroes and their families.
“AARP believes in the power of one,” says John Wider, president of AARP Services Inc. “One AARP encouraging members ‘to serve, not be served,’ which was one of our founder, Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus’ mottos, and the power of one person in their community to make a difference.”
AARP Services Inc.’s Authorized to Offer agent program includes tracking of volunteer service hours by agents who are trained to engage and serve the community.
“I am honored to be recognized by AARP and ASI for the hours of community service I have performed,” said Robert Hecker, “and I look forward to continuing to volunteer in my community.”
In addition to his volunteer duties with Honor and Remember, Robert also gives his time as a member of the Patriot Guard Riders (www.ctpatriotguard.org), and as a Board Member of Senior Resources, Area Agency on Aging (www.seniorresourcesec.org).
