business environment in our town.
Keynote Address by Emma A. Durand
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer Isis Biopolymer, Inc.
Emma A. Durand is a serial entrepreneur and is currently Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology
Officer of Isis Biopolymer, Inc. ("Isis"). Isis is an early stage, Rhode Island-based medical device company and has developed a major advance in intelligent non-invasive drug delivery, the IsisIQ™.
Isis Biopolymer was awarded a 2009 Innovation Award by Providence Business News. She will discuss
her entrepreneurial start, economic approach in this business climate and her experience in this knowledge based industry.
The second portion of the workshop will include “Facilitated Round Table Discussions”.
Stonington Economic Development Commission members will facilitate stakeholder groups in brainstorming, engaging,and discussing common shared problems and solutions in this economic environment. These results will be reported back to the assembled group and utilized for "solutions" to our economic approach.
